The program takes place over 6-months, combining online classes, an in-person intensive learning experience, coaching and mentoring, and applied learning through a work-related project.

Part 2: In-Person Intensive (5 days)
February 8 - 13, 2026

  • Day 4: Melding of all Mindsets

  • Day 5: Managing Change

The week also includes two case-studies based on actual situations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this program only for librarians? No! LLEAD is for leaders from all functions in the library and information sector (e.g., finance, HR, IT, etc.) including traditional program areas.

Is this program only for Canadians? No! LLEAD is open to international participants (please ensure you have the appropriate paperwork to travel to Canada for the in-person learning experience).

Does tuition cover travel costs to British Columbia? No, travel to and from Loon Lake Lodge is the responsibility of students. Your tuition covers food and accommodation during the in-person learning experience.

How are applications evaluated? Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. Once the class is full, the application window closes.
