I arrived at the Whistler Public Library as Director after over 20 years of professional library experience in special and public libraries.I had my first library job in the 3rd grade and that was a theme that continued all of the way into my MLIS. While I am no bookworm, I was attracted to libraries because of the difference a good library can make in community (and it also has given me the opportunity to live in places where I can ski, climb and ride my bike – hence I am known as The Resort Librarian).

I am passionate about creating vibrant and relevant destinations that surprise people and redefine what they think about libraries. Community partnerships, advocacy, re-envisioning, strategy, change management and project management fuel my professional fire and represent the spaces where I get to be at my best.

I was Born in rural Wisconsin and raised in Alaska by two adventurous parents. My journey to Whistler ended in June of 2012 after stops in Kansas City, Denver, Durango, Telluride and Bend. When I am not working you can find me in the great outdoors chasing after my feisty, fast and soon-to-be seven year old, Piper.

This will be my 4th trip around the LLEAD sun and I can honestly say you are about to embark upon a life-changing experience. I look forward to meeting you all!
